Shannon M. Burnett

Expo of Heart / CLP Founder and CEO
Shannon is
the founder of Conscious Living Partnership (CLP) an organization
dedicated to uniting businesses, individuals and organizations. CLP has
grown out of Shannon Burnett’s vision of creating a healthier community
and planet by promoting holistic health and green building. Her vision
started in 2001 in Florida and is now taking the concept to a national
level.
Shannon brings a powerful combination of experience in public
relations, marketing, fundraising and event planning. She has years of
business experience in developing organizations, notably the President
of Business Improvement Council of Cocoa Beach, Ambassador for Cocoa
Beach Chamber of Commerce, member of United States Green Building
Council USGBC, member of Board of Directors for Space Coast Association
of Realtors, Assistant Leader for Dale Carnegie Course, as well as
being active in volunteer work like fundraising for Hospice House, Toys
for Tots and Cross Winds Youth Services.
Shannon has co-produced, along with Natural Awakenings magazine, the
Healthy Living Expo held annually since 2001 in Melbourne, Florida.
This event includes exhibitors, speakers, and educational opportunities
promoting choices for healthy lifestyles. It has grown each year to
becoming the major health expo in Central Florida. In 2007, CLP
purchased the Expo of Heart held for over 7 years at the Ft. Lauderdale
Convention Center. The mission of the Expo is to empower people to take
conscious living to heart, and to be a bridge between traditional
medicine and holistic and energetic modalities for wellness and
prevention.
She has trained and coached hundreds of individuals and businesses in
marketing, business development and personal growth. She has appeared
on television, radio and in the press. She has successfully promoted
local and international speakers, workshops and events.
Kelly Stratton Production Manager, Expo of
Heart
Kelly Stratton is the President and owner of Stratton Meeting &
Event Services, an independent meeting and event services company,
founded in 2001 and specializing in special event and meeting
management. Ms. Stratton is a seasoned professional with over 26
years of corporate meeting planning and event management experience for
programs operated around the world. She has held senior
management positions for top fortune 100 companies including General
Electric, Nationwide Insurance, Liebert Corporation and NCR. Kelly is
an active and respected voice in the meeting and event community and is
frequently asked to speak at a number of industry conferences..
Lena Blanchard Financial Director
Before moving to the United States in 2002, Lena
acquired a Masters of Accounting and a Masters of Biology and Chemistry
in Simferopol, Ukraine. After teaching biology and chemistry for a few
years, she finished her accounting degree and was the Head Accountant
at a large optical company. Prior to coming to CLP she owned Liberty
Business Services, a company that specialized as a small business tax
and advisory service in Chattanooga, TN.
Her enthusiasm and interest in conscious living brought her to CLP. She
believes she has found the perfect place to pursue her career while
maintaining her interests in holistic health, Course in Miracles,
metaphysical knowledge, water color painting. Lena will be creating and
overseeing CLP's financial system. Her expertise will keep CLP on track
to achieve its financial goals and maintain an efficient finance
department.
Susan Q Wood Founder
Susan Q Wood is the founder of the Expo of Heart and
produced the event from 2000 to 2007. It was originally known as the
Body, Mind and Spirit Expo; a few years ago she changed the name to
Expo of Heart and developed the red heart logo that is still being used
to brand the Expo. This change reflected not only her change in
consciousness, but reflected a broader intent, by bringing people
together to share not only about personal wellness but also planetary
health.
She boldly experimented with new aspects of the show and contracted to
screen the film "What the Bleep Do We (K)Now!?" at the 2005 Expo. What
happened at that show was historical.
She recently transferred the ownership of the Expo to Conscious Living
Partnership (CLP) in order to focus more on her artwork. Shannon
Burnett offered Susan the opportunity to have a one woman
art show in the Central Courtyard for the February 24, 2008 event.
She is also the publishing editor of Natural Awakenings'
Broward Edition of the healthy living, green monthly magazine. In that
capacity her "claim to fame" is that in 1999 she became the first
franchise owner and moved from Naples Florida to Fort Lauderdale (where
she knew no one) to start her publication. As of January, 2008 there
are 46 franchises throughout the United States and Puerto Rico with
over 2 million readers. She is proud to continue her relationship with
CLP in co-creating a fabulous event and showing her support as a
Platinum Sponsor of this year's event.
